How long have you been skating?
Since April 2009

Why did you get involved in roller derby?
My friend Fu-Quinn Hell told me see was thinking of starting her own team and asked if I wanted to be involved. I said yes straight away

How often do you practice?
3 times a week if my horrible night shifts aren’t getting in the way

What Pads do you use?
Stinky ones. I need to upgrade!

What Helmet do you use?
A TSG Kraken skate helmet

What skates do you use?
Purple Sure Grip Rebel Avengers Roller Skates

What were your first pair of skates?
They were £35 ones off Ebay and lasted me over 2 years! Finally upgrading my skates have made such a big difference though and regret not doing it sooner!

Where did your nick name come from?
I’m a huge UFC fan and my name is after the UFC announcer Bruce Buffer. My skater number is also after his famous move in the Octagon: the Buffer 180.
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Bruce and he showed his support by saying he would endorse me and sent me a personalised autographed photo and invited me to speak on his radio show!

What is your favourite part about being a Roller girl?
Apart from being able to hit girls on skates, definitely the social side of things. I’ve never had such a huge circle of amazing and tough female friends before.

Any top tips for up and coming Derby Superstars?
Go to practice, listen to your coaches and don’t take things too seriously. It’s only a hobby at the end of the day. And always win the after party!
