Name: Slaughter

Occupation: Skater

How long have you been skating?

20+ years

7 years roller derby

Why did you get involved in roller derby?

I’ve always been competitive and I’ve always skated. Just seemed to go hand in hand. Now its so much more than that. what’s kept me in roller derby is the effort I put in, I get back out. There is no end as long as I keep pushing myself to be the best skater I can be.

How often do you practice?

I practice often, I skate at least 3 nights a week, study rules, work out , mental preparation. Although if I had it my way. I’d be skating at least 5 days a week.

What Pads do you use?

I am thicker in the thigh area, so finding a good pad that fits was a bit difficult. I Wear pro-tec skate pads and they have a removable shell on the front. First pair lasted 4 seasons!

What Helmet do you use?

pro-tec !!

What skates do you use?

I am IN LOVE with my Riedell Minx!

What were your first pair of skates?

Ha, the cheap ones with the flames on them.

Where did your nick name come from?
