Why did you get involved in roller derby?
I was looking for a fun and exciting way to stay in shape and to relieve stress.
How often do you practice?
2-3 times per week
What Pads do you use?
187 – They are built to last. I’ve had the same set since I started out as fresh meat.
What Helmet do you use?
Triple 8 – lime green!
What skates do you use?
Riedell Minx, they are awesome! I call them my “Cadillac skates.”
What was your first pair of skates?
Riedell Vixens
Where did your nick name come from?
My last name is Arnold. I picked an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie and turned it into a tough derby name.
What is your favourite part about being a Roller girl?
The camaraderie with the team and the excitement of playing in bouts. Also, I am very competitive, and this feeds my urge to better myself as a derby player each time I put on my skates.
Any top tips for up and coming Derby Superstars?
Study bouts, learn the plays, take care of your body, build your endurance and skate often. Always remember to be a good teammate. No one likes derby drama.
