When I first heard about Roller Derby I thought ‘WOW, that’s awesome!’ and I was right! It is AWESOME. But then I also thought ‘right, if I’m going to do this what do I need?’
So I have put together a checklist for fresh meat. This is a simple guide for the things that you need (at the very minimum) in order to participate. Feel free to download this and pass it around to anyone that might need it.
But wait, there is more!
A friend of mine who has gone in to the equipment in more depth has compiled this awesome list of the equipment that you need.
It covers everything that you need and a few bonus things that you can have to protect yourself against those inevitable bumps that Derby will provide you with.
This list is distributed across these titles
Helmet
Knee Pads
Elbow Pads
Wrist Guards
Mouth Guard
Roller Derby Skates
Quad Skate Wheels
Quad Skate Toe Stops
Roller Derby Upgrades
