On and off for 30 years

Why did you get involved in roller derby?
I’ve always been into extreme sports and this sounded like fun to me. Plus I love the physical aspect of the sport.

How often do you practice?
3 times a week

187 Killer knee pads, pro tec wrist pads, smith scab elbow pads

What Helmet do you use?
Pro Tec

What skates do you use?
Antix roller derby skates

What were your first pair of skates?
Sure Grip fugitives

Where did your nick name come from?
N/A We skate under our legal names

What is your favourite part about being a Roller girl?
The comradery within the derby community. It’s a family and I think that’s great.

Any top tips for up and coming Derby Superstars?
Always give 100% and never give up. You can get frustrated within yourself from time to time, but that’s all a part of learning also. I’ve read that you will improve, get to a point where you hit a plateau, and then one day you will just ‘get it’. That’s so true. And when you get it; it’s an awesome feeling.
