How long have you been skating?
I have been skating for about 2 years now

Why did you get involved in roller derby?
I’ve always been a bit rough in sports so knew it was for me haha. When I was in school I split some ones lip with a hockey stick and broke some ones wrist in netball (both accidently of course ). Also being a part of a team really appealed to me! It’s great meeting new people and skating with them, everyones so nice!

How often do you practice?
2/3 times a week, I also travel around to scrims/mixed bouts as much as I can. I’m a derby addict.

What Pads do you use?
I currently use 187 wrist guards, anarchy elbow pads and fox revert knee pads, bit of a mix really.

What Helmet do you use?
I have an SFR helmet at the min, pimped out with stickers of course.

What skates do you use?
I use Riedell Dash skates, hoping to upgrade this year though.

What were your first pair of skates?
When I very first started I had some Rio rollers. It was the pretty rainbow on the side I loved the most haha not very good for derby though.

Where did your nick name come from?
Im not sure really, it was just a random thought of name. I quite often just get called Bash as my number is BA5H and I love to bash other players too.

What is your favourite part about being a Roller girl?
The hitting and being hit. I love being on track hitting the hell out of an opposing team player. Were all friends at the end of the day but the buzz of kicking ass on track is AMAZING!

Any top tips for up and coming Derby Superstars?
Have fun! (its why were all playing isn’t it?) and HIT HARD ! haha
