Scabs Knee Gaskets
Scabs Knee Gaskets
As mentioned in my earlier post (Scabs Knee Pad Review) I think the size of my knees comes somewhere in the middle of Small/Medium and Large in the Scabs Elites so I needed a little extra padding underneath to keep them firmly in place. I shopped around and found some Scabs knee gaskets for £27.99. I went for a medium as I didn’t want them to cut off circulation but I also wanted them to give me firm protection and not move around. When they arrived they had Velcro on the top front and bottom front so that they stick to the knee pads. These bad boys weren’t going anywhere and I couldn’t be without them.
After a couple of weeks wear I found that the stitching was coming away from the seams. I have been very careful with them and followed the fitting instructions to the letter so was a lil disappointed, I could maybe understand it if I’d been tugging them over my knees for a few months but a couple weeks?!!
Recently one of the other girls on our team was looking to get some gaskets to go with her knee pads and the general feedback from people with them said the Scabs branded gaskets were really poor quality and had all experienced stitching issues too! At training last night when I was putting mine on I noticed that the material down the side has an almost laddered look to it like on a pair of tights and the padding inside is coming out through the top! Rubbish!
I’m going to try to make the stitching last a lil bit longer but inevitably I’m going to have to get new ones a lot sooner than what I thought I was going to have to!
It would seem that the 187 killer gaskets priced similarly to the Scabs ones are of much better quality and the other girls are recommending them instead.
